Hello!
We are the Transatlantic Chilean Folk Ensemble, an independent ongoing project, that gathers more than 60 musicians from Chile and abroad, where everyone have a place, regardless of their age, social status, religion, or political position.
In our shows we represent the Chile of today, through a tour of the different musical traditions of our country, including the North, Central and South of Chile, with a repertoire composed and arranged entirely by us, inviting you to re-discover our music without prejudices or restrictions.
In October 2012 we had a successful debut concert in the IX Immigrant Music Festival of Valparaiso, which was recorded completely, as well as the previous rehearsals. We had the help of great musicians like Nano Stern (in violin and arrangements), Pascuala Ilabaca (who premiered a new song), and Demian Rodriguez (with the awesome song "Butterfly").
This material is already edited, and ready to become our first DVD entitled "Live", in digipack format.
What are we missing?
You!
With your contribution you can be part of this project, financing the copies of this production, and helping us and our message, to reach as many people as possible.
Our goal is 1,000 copies, and if we can raise more money, we can do even more!
The DVD will include the songs:
1.- Saya del Cielo (Saya), unreleased, by Pascuala Ilabaca
2.- El Gran Norte (Huayno), by Ernesto Calderón
3.- Sa Dans (Huachaca Jazz), by La Banda Imaginaria
4.- Eimn, weke che (Mapuche Song), by Ernesto Calderón
5.- Oro Negro (Festejo), by Ernesto Calderón
6.- Mariposa (Song), by Demian Rodríguez
7.- Ethno Cueca (Instrumental Tonada), by Ernesto Calderón
... and a documentary film about how the Ensemble was formed (with recordings of all the rehearsals before this concert) + a Flashmob in Valparaiso!
Be part of this great peaceful and inclusive musical revolution!
Can we count on you?
