About the Project
The "Living Machine Bazaar" begins life with the first ANIMEC, "The perpetual walker."
This is a scale doll of Jack Skellington, Tim Burton character of his film "The Nightmare Before Christmas," which, walks through the momentum of a string of 28 spaces (steps), which draws the path of the ankle on a walk.
Now, living machines Bazaar requests your help to make an even more grandiose project ANIMEC:
"LA ESMERALDA"
Is a Mechanical Animation (ANIMEC) of the ship commanded by Arturo Prat in the Pacific War where he lost his life in the naval battle of Iquique. Animated by cams that emulate a fro motion, while inside, gears, levers, cranks and mechanisms of wood give life to a crew that performs various tasks on the ship along with the firing of cannons.
The Esmeralda measure 2 meters long and is an exact replica of the original ship. Every detail is carefully performed, including the faces of famous people like Arturo Prat.
The work thanks to the drive mechanism of an electric motor which will allow a fluid and constant motion.
The ANIMEC of the Esmeralda will be exhibit on the street and everywhere so that everyone has the opportunity to see and be near her. You can also enjoy seeing the internal mechanism.
In exchange for his help, I offer my mechanical work. Marble machines, clocks and even the first ANIMEC "the perpetual Walker," this and more will be for producers to give great push to make this work.
The motivation
Today we no longer automas. The world has focused on the rating and demand, the title and salary.
The beauty of science and art today is advertising and cell phones.
More interested in Reality shows, many people lose interest in history and culture, forgetting even the real reason for the holidays, the great heroes and their sorrows.
At this point in my view is where I find the function of my alive machines and what motivates me to go and seek help from the people themselves.
The role of mechanical animations is to encourage imagination and spirit!
And this time I make this assumption to forward building a work history, art and science.
The Objective
Present the "Esmeralda" people on the street, a public and open place, without conditions, without charge. Bringing people an indication of the value and beauty of art, science and national history in their everyday space sobeautiful and fun.
At the same time the whole process of the project will be filmed for a documentary than an hour and a half and where producers may go out and be part of the record.
Also will be a written record of all the steps to perform, design and drawings and all photographs ANIMEC of every detail.
Thank you and have a nice day!.

”¡Trabaja!”.- Me dijeron
